BRUNEI DARUSSALAM STRENGTHENS CONSUMER OUTREACH AT NATAS TRAVEL FAIR 2026 AND ADVANCES EDUCATIONAL TOURISM COLLABORATION

Bandar Seri Begawan, 30 March 2026

Brunei Darussalam through the Tourism Development Department (TDD), Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, recently participated in the three-day NATAS Travel Fair 2026 held in Singapore from 27 to 29 March 2026. As a business-to-consumer (B2C) travel fair, the participation primarily aimed to engage directly with Singaporean travellers, increase destination awareness, stimulate immediate travel bookings, and position Brunei as a preferred short-haul getaway. Leading a delegation of Bruneian tourism stakeholders, the Department showcased curated travel experiences designed for families, couples, students and special interest travellers seeking meaningful and authentic journeys.

At the NATAS Travel Fair 2026, the Brunei pavilion showcases a diverse portfolio of tourism experiences, from rainforest adventures at Ulu Temburong National Park and mangrove river safaris to Islamic and cultural highlights, including the distinctive Ramadan atmosphere at iconic mosques and authentic Bruneian food journeys across all four districts. In line with efforts to position Brunei as a regional hub for education tourism, a range of specialised student-focused programmes also among the offerings being featured. These includes immersive learning journeys encompassing environmental studies, Islamic heritage, and cultural exchange—designed to align with the interests of Singaporean schools and institutions seeking safe, accessible, and value-driven overseas learning experiences.

Exclusive packages were promoted to encourage immediate bookings during the fair. These included the Brunei Jet & Rest Holiday Package (3D2N) by Royal Brunei Airlines; the 5D4N Educational Visits to Brunei Darussalam programme by Darussalam Services; the Discover Brunei Package by Ghufran Travel and Tours; 4D4N Brunei Highlights Tour by AZ Back To Nature; Ulu Temburong National Park Daytrip by Hasa Incentives; 4D3N Brunei Education Tour Program by Bonasia Holiday; 3D2N Muslim Experience Package by Freme Travel Services and more. Additional customised itineraries focusing on eco-adventure, Islamic tourism and student-focused programmes were also introduced to cater to different travel interests.

Following the fair, the Tourism Development Department organised a B2B networking session with educational institutions under Singapore’s Ministry of Education. The session served as a platform for several Bruneian travel agents and a representative from the Ministry of Education in Brunei Darussalam, held at the High Commission of Brunei.
