The Tourism Development Department, in collaboration with Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP), successfully conducted an engagement and awareness session involving 50 registered licensed travel agencies and tourist guides. The session was held at Dewan Setia Pahlawan, Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism.
The joint initiative aimed to equip key tourism stakeholders with a comprehensive understanding of safety protocols, operational boundaries, and compliance regulations within Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) jurisdictions, as well as to provide participants with an overview of the Seria Energy Lab as a key educational tourism destination.
The briefing strongly emphasized the importance of adhering to stringent safety measures, applicable laws and site restrictions in order to prevent incidents or violations. Industry professionals were also briefed on the proper procedures for conducting tours safely, as well as the critical responsibilities that travel agencies and tourist quides hold in managing visitor movements in an orderly, safe, and compliant manner.
