About OUR DEPARTMENT

Tourism Development Department (TDD) was established in 2005 under the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry where the main responsibility is to develop tourism industry in the country. Tourism industry has been identified to have high potential in contributing towards the growth and diversification of the economy, employment and small, medium enterprises (SMes).

Build an international image as a preferred tourism destination, particularly in terms of nature, culture, and adventure.

Membina imej antarabangsa sebagai destinasi pelancongan pilihan (dari segi alam semula jadi, kebudayaan dan pengembaraan).

Strategy 2

Establish a sustainable, resilient, and inclusive tourism industry to nurture innovative stakeholders across the tourism value chain, such as hotel owners and restaurant operators.

Mewujudkan industri pelancongan yang mampan, berdaya tahan dan inklusif bagi memupuk pihak-pihak berkepentingan yang inovatif di bawah rantaian nilai pelancongan seperti pemilik hotel dan pengusaha restoran.

Enhance governance and strengthen innovative collaborations to stimulate economic growth.

Meningkatkan urustadbir, mengukuhkan kerjasama yang inovatif bagi merangsana pertumbuhan ekonomi.
